"Squircle" Men's Group
Because they're not quite a "circle" like the women's groups, but they don't want to be square, they're a "squircle"! From time to time, this group gets together for bible study and community service. For more information, contact the church office at (608) 837-3111.The ELCA also has a community of believers in its Lutheran Men in Mission Ministry. Life-long Friendships in Faith
WOMEN'S CIRCLES
-
Rebecca Circle meets at 1:00pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month at OSLC. They have a Bible study & rotating basis bring a treat for the group to share.
-
Elizabeth Circle meets the 3rd Monday at 7pm. The location changes from month to month. We study the books of the bible in interesting, thoughtful discussions. An average of 12 women gather each month (come when you can) and we are learning as we go...no experience necessary! We take turns leading (for anyone comfortable with volunteering to do that) and hosting and providing a home baked treat each month. We learn so much and have a wonderful time together! Please join us!
-
Martha Circle meets on the LAST Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at 1020 Liberty Blvd. We utilize devotions from "Gather Magazine" a women's publication put out by our Synod. We are currently the newest circle, and are therefore a growing circle. We tend to have very interesting discussions, based on the devotion of the month and the experiences of the women. Come join us!
For further information about each of the circles, contact the office at (608) 837-3111.
Would you like to join one of our ministries? Give us a call today to join the many worshippers who are already calling Our Savior's Lutheran Church home.
The Power of Prayer
PRAYER TEAM

"Gather In Prayer" Offers Weekly Prayer Opportunity
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer."
Romans 12:12
There is always time to pray...as we wash the dishes, as we drive to and fro, as we tuck our children in to bed, and so on. Praying with others, in a poignant silence or with words that attempt to gather thoughts before God, is powerful and effective.
You are invited to come together to pray on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm. Come with prayer requests or simply to join in prayer for others. This prayer time supports both individuals and the ministries of Our Savior's in Sun Prairie and across the globe. Come be a part of this growing ministry. Feel free to bring a friend...someone who is learning to pray or someone who has a love for prayer. All are welcome.
P.S. If you have prayer requests, both the OSLC staff and the prayer team would love to hear them so we can be united in prayer for you and your concerns and thanksgivings. You can pass them along via email to communications@oslc-elca.org or note them in the fellowship pads that you fill out in worship. -
Prayer Shawls Bring a Blessing to Many
Our prayer shawl ministry is steeped in prayer from beginning to end. Our knitters begin the process by knitting or crocheting a prayer shawl. These knitters pray for the recipient of the shawl with every knit or purl stitch. Then the prayer team, when a recipient has been identified, prays over the shawl praying for healing and a warm reception of the shawl. The prayers continue when the recipient receives the shawl and may then pray on their own when wrapped in its warmth. It’s a ministry immersed in prayer.
At this time, we would love to increase the shawls we give away. If you are interested in this ministry and have this talent to share, please contact office@oslc-elca.org. Warm prayer shawls are a blessing to many! Maybe you can add your prayers to the mix. -
Prayer Chain/Prayer Requests
Members of our prayer chain pray often wherever they might happen to be. They receive an email notifications prayer requests and the team begins to pray.
Do you have a prayer request or hospital notification you would like to pass along? You can share your requests with the Communications Secretary at communications@oslc-elca.org or call the church office at 608-837-3111. When you submit prayer requests, they are sent to the Our Savior’s Prayer Chain via email/phone and are added to the prayers during weekend worship.
If you would like your request to remain confidential to the pastoral staff, or would not like it shared with the Prayer Chain or included in worship prayers, please note your wishes in your request.
